Software Engineer · Spark Commodities 2025 – Present
- Backend Python Engineer: Design, build, and maintain scalable server-side infrastructure to support core product operations. Responsibilities include RESTful API design and implementation, managing and optimising data pipelines and workflows, and overseeing full product lifecycle delivery from development through to production.
Software Engineer · GAOGAO Oct 2021 – Dec 2023
- Dental service search engine: Migrated application from Client-side to Server-side rendering with Next.js. Performed Search engine optimisation. Created new payment gateway UI powered by GMO payments. Successfully completed in Oct 2023.
- 2D Metaverse project: Built Metaverse for companies to hold virtual meetings. Used React-three-fibre as a 2D engine and Agora as a video hosting service. Deployed AWS Cognito, AppSync, and DynamoDB to create real-time updates for users. Successfully deployed MVP in Jun 2023.
- Fintech company (loan services): Built front-end user interface for applying and tracking of loans. Used React.js as the web framework. Completed involvement in Dec 2022.
- Food delivery service: Migrated a client's old database to the cloud. Used AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, RDS, and EC2. Completed involvement in Oct 2022.
- Smart contracts application: Built web application for users to create Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAO). Front-end application interfaced with smart contracts hosted on the Ethereum Blockchain. Successfully completed in Jul 2022.
- AI Transcription service: Powered by AI, the web application allows users to transcribe uploaded videos and audio into text for editing. Used Next.js and Tailwind CSS. Successfully deployed MVP in Dec 2021.
Co-founder & Lead Engineer · Bizbulk Apr 2022 – Present
- E-commerce platform: Architected and built the cross-platform application. Set up cloud backend to power user authentication, database and payments. This platform allows users to create groups and buy products at a discount. Successfully launched in May 2022. Visit Bizbulk's webpage.
Significant Contributions
- Flutter Singapore Organiser: Lead organiser for the Flutter Singapore meetup chapter. Hosts meetups every quarter where engineers present best practices and updates. Meetups also include a networking segment. Visit Flutter Singapore's meetup page.
